I bought my pants at lululemon and had them hemmed. They even put the drawstring back in for me. They are so comfortable and I love the bright colour. Perfect for this time of year. They make me want to dance when I wear them.

I absolutely LOVE this song and this one, and this one too. I love all their songs. They are playing in Toronto in June and I have decided I am definitely going. I haven’t been to a live music show in ages.

These are soooooo cute!

I started a new book. My oldest daughter read it and gave it a thumbs up. It has been on my shelf for years and I am just reading it now. I guess it was just time.

I watched this movie. I have to say that I was really pleasantly surprised with this movie. I love the relationship between the mad hatter and alice. Amazing makeup, costumes and special effects too.

I borrowed this book from the library. I am loving it. The author is so beautiful and youthful looking. I want to look like her. This book is so much more than just beauty tips; it is tips for living your whole life in a more healthy and healing way. I highly recommend this book. I will be purchasing my own copy as I am sure I will refer to it often.

I love this etsy artist. I have one of her prints framed and hanging in my upstairs bathroom. I think I’m going to buy this one next. And if you buy a second one of her prints it is half price. Great deal.

Well that is my week of favourites. How about you?

Happy St. Patrick’s Day. What a gorgeous, sunny, warm day it was today. Too beautiful to stay inside. So that is why Jayla and I headed out to Peterborough today to pick up some food supplies at our favourite health food store. We were also planning on visiting the animals in the zoo, but it was far too busy today because of March break – there wasn’t one parking space available. We decided we would try again in a week or two, when the children are all back in school and it will be less busy.

We did find a lovely picnic area on the river and we had our snack and took a few photos of the sun sparkles on the water. So pretty.

This week I had the opportunity to pay my mother back for all the help she gave me during the winter that I wasn’t feeling well (December 2008/January, February & March 2009). She would come over to my house when things were really bad for me and she would take care of me and my children’s needs. Meals, cleaning, lifting spirits. I was honored to be able to pay her back just a little bit this week. She injured her back and was on complete bed rest orders from her doctor, so from Saturday until Tuesday I cooked and cleaned and lifted her spirits – and my girls helped out tremendously too. What a great feeling. And what a difference in how I am feeling now compared with back then. Like night and day.

A dear friend hooked me up with the Women’s International Summit for Health. I listened to the full hour long interview with David Avocado Wolfe this afternoon. Some great questions were asked and some equally great answers were given. My favourite quote: “raw food heals people, not necessarily because of its nutrients, and maybe not even necessarily because of its energy, but I think it makes people aware of how we’re using food to hold down a certain emotion we’re not wanting to deal with.”

Yet another dear friend hooked me up with this website and I absolutely needed to purchase this. This is definitely the year of the goddess!

So, are these bags gorgeous or what?! I was in a little gift/kitchen gadget shop today and they had these. I don’t know how I would choose just one style or just one colour. It is definitely on my wish list now.

Okay Tracy, you totally rock my world. You have hooked me up with the most beautiful music. Thanks baby. This is my latest favourite.

I am really enjoying this new book. So much fun.

Another item on my wish list is a wooden wedding band made by this amazing wood carver artist. I am not able to wear any sort of alloy on my body anymore, so I haven’t worn my white gold and diamond wedding ring for years now – I get a really bad rash when I wear it. So, I would love to trade it in and get a wooden one instead. And these are beautiful beyond belief.

I love the sun sparkles in this photo.

These are the cutest fuzzy easter chicks, but I think I might only have time to do the mini eggs this year. There’s always next year right?

I cannot stop watching this trailer.

And what are your favourite things this week?

I am still having loads of fun with my new camera. I had Jayla take this photo of me this morning. We have had so many gorgeous sunny days in a row; it just makes me feel so alive and happy.

I purchased two new piano books recently. I have been taking piano lessons for a little over a year now and I really love it. I play almost every day. If I am in a bad mood, I just need to start playing and soon I am in a better mood; and if I am in a good mood when I start, well, I am over the moon happy when I am done. It is never too late to take music lessons; I began my lessons when I was 44 years old, and I had never taken any lessons before that – I was a total beginner. I am still playing on a beginner keyboard right now, with only 5 octaves, but I dream of having one like this within the next couple of years.

Love this photo.

Check out this gorgeous print. All of Lucy Snowe’s work is beautiful, but that one is my favourite.

Thanks to my lovely friend Tracy, I discovered some new (to me) music, and I can’t stop listening. Xavier Rudd , John Butler Trio, and Oka.

I watched this nominated movie. What a powerful movie and the performances were incredibly real. Definitely one of those “must see” movies.

I want to make a bouquet of these.

Each night I am reading a bit of this book to Jayla. We have the print version, but It is actually available free here.

I would really like to have a pair of these or these.

I know I am really looking ahead here, but I want a set of these for my Mother’s Day gift. Okay girls?? Or should I say, okay honey??

These two books are on their way from and I should have them by the end of the week. Just in time because the Sunfood book is due back at the library next tuesday and I am not finished reading it.

And what are you enjoying this week?

* I have been having such fun with my new camera. I realized that this is the first camera that we have ever purchased. We have always had hand-me-down cameras before, which has been totally fine by the way; but it is so exciting to have a brand new camera after alll these years.

* I have discovered three new raw foods that I absolutely love: raw cacao beans, coconut butter and goji berries. YUM! Almost every afternooon I have 2 or 3 cacao beans, with a couple tablespoons of coconut butter and a few goji berries.

* One of my birthday gifts (to myself) was a Carla Bruni CD. This remains one of my favourite songs.

* Do you think anyone would notice if I just quietly moved in here or here or here. No one would notice, right?

* I really, really want a pair of these. Not very animal friendly of me, I know, but I have seen different people wearing these shoes/boots and loved how they look and always wanted a pair for myself. And apparently these last forever. So one pair should do me for my lifetime.

* Watched this nominated movie.

* I would love to have one of these. I might need to get some chickens first though. Isn’t it just so beautiful.

* Reading this book right now and loving it. I can’t wait to read some of his other books.

So these are some of the things I am loving right now. What are you all loving this week?
